Update :)

It's been awhile since we updated everyone on how my mom is doing. Sorry for the delay, we are SO appreciative of your support throughout all of this. 

Last week, mom had the echo cardio gram test which was to test her heart to make sure that it is okay to begin chemo. Tests came back fine. She got a call from the Dr today explaining that she could start chemo as soon as this Thursday. If not this week for sure by next Thursday.  

Last week she also had the biopsy on the her right side to ensure that everything was normal. During the wire insertion the doctor felt that the lymph nodes looked abnormal on that side. Results came back fine and they suspect that the abnormalities were due to the treatment she received awhile back for her skin cancer. 

She will have one year of treatment. Treatments will be 1 time every three weeks, 8 of those treatments being regular chemo the remainder after the 8 will be estrogen stopping treatments. During this treatment is when she will begin radiation. Radiation is going to be five weeks long. 

She is remaining in great spirits but is ready to get this started. It has been so nice having Jase here, he is definitely keeping both my mom and dad entertained and busy!
